This unweighted version has all the features of the Weighted Beast less the weight. The unweighted version is ideal for lighter baits than do not need large amounts of weight to be swam. Due the XXX-strong wire and big gap angle there is a lot of steel in this hook which allows the hook alone to act as the weight on lighter baits. "Clip-On" weights can always be added to the shank to increase the hook's weight.

The hooks I purchased will be used exclusively for swimbaits. These hooks
have an enormous wide gap which will allow the use of a thicker bait like
most swimbaits are.
The wide gap will allow the bait to slide away from and exposing more of the
hook point. This will result in a greater number of hookups.
This is the first order I'm placing with you but certainly not the last
after looking over the products you handle.

We have a fresh water lake behind our house... My husband uses them with zoom frogs
to catch bass....They work really well...He swears by them

I like the weighted Owner hooks for either swimbaits as you call them
(paddletails/shads to us here in the UK), or simply to give a bit more
stability when fishing senkos and jerkbaits in rougher conditions - fishing
for (sea) bass here and in Ireland.
