these thin wire 39951's are great for distance casting to large reds in
the surf. Tough to find, hope you keep a few on hand.

I fish assateague island in MD for stripers, black drum, red drum, sharks
etc...
8nbait style fishing at its best!

I will use them for livebaiting at big yellowtail and bluefin tuna
Ryan on 09/23/2013 01:30pm
I plan on using these to fish large live baits for flat head cats.

we are using the mustad ultra point circle hooks for striped bass. We are trying circle hooks because
we are trying to cut down on the fish getting gut hooked. We have been
having a lot easier time releasing fish alive with the reduction of fish
being gut hooked.

I will be using these mustad 10/0 circle hooks to do battle with catfish on the Ohio River, Big
bluecats and flathead catfish.
Nick on 04/05/2013 11:31am
I use them for surf fishing on the delmarva peninsula for stripers, red
drum, black drum and whatever else picks up my bait.

I'm a surf fisherman on the east coast. I fish Assateague island in MD, and the OBX.
From late April to early June we have a run of Stripped Bass and Black Drum that
swim north hugging the coast all the way. It is not uncommon to have 30lb bass right
at your feet in the surf. Most, including myself fish with fresh bait, menhaden
chunks and heads, clams, peeler crabs, and sand fleas. You need a big circle hook!
There are a lot if snags and toothy critters that you loose rigs on. Last may I
probably went through 20 hooks in a week of fishing. While I love to support my
local tackle shop, I can't see spending $10 on a pack of 5 hooks.

I'm going to use the hooks fishing for Blacktip Shark on Sanibel Island
Florida when I vacation there next August. I will attach them on the end
of a 72" wire leader to prevent the sharks biting through my line when
hooked

I use the this particular hook for striped bass, red drum, black drum,
and a variety of sharks species. All of my fishing is done from the
surf at assateague island in MD. The hook is more than adequate
though I wish mustad would make a large, thin wire circle with a
longer point and a bigger barb. The gami big eye is the perfect
design, but they use a thick gauge wire and I'm certain that I've lost
fish because of it. With the mustad 39951bln I had a hookup rate of
greater than 95% this spring, so this hook certainly does the job.

I use these hooks for trophy flathead and blue catfish in my local
rivers. I will also use these hooks for bull redfish and small sharks at the beach
and fishing peir this fall. I use these hooks on a standard Carolina/fish finder rig.

I'm in the army, stationed at FT Rucker, AL. Every weekend I pull my boat the 200
mile round trip from here to Panama City, FL, and go fishing offshore, weather
permitting. I'm going to use the hooks I ordered from you for live bait fishing for
gag, red, and black grouper.

I am getting ready for Red Drum and Striper season on Assateague Island,Md.
This is the first time I`m trying these hooks.Hope they work.

My Dad and I are going to use them to Jug Fish for big Blue Catfish on the Missouri
River. We used to do this together about 30 years ago, back then we used large
treble hooks. We didn't have circle hooks back then. My dad used circle hooks on
trot lines with good success so we thought we'd try them jug fishing.
My dad is almost 80 now so this might be the last time I get to do this with him,
I'm pretty excited about this fishing trip. Thanks for getting them headed this way.
Doug on 07/16/2012 01:47pm
