Ultra small with a red finish these super tiny treble hooks are perfect for trout fishing or anything else that requires the smallest or treble hooks out there. Hard to find and with a price that can't be beat these little treble hooks have been a customer favorite!
Hi I use them for trout fishing using power bait and because it is quite a
few snags were I fish I lose quite a few hooks
I really enjoy fishing crappies with these tiny trebles (14's) through the
ice. I fish them with tipdowns tipped with a little crappie minnow. I like
the red because I think it adds a little blood colored flash to the
struggling minnow. I think the treble hooks increases my chances of hooking
success. The 14's are harder to find in stores, that's where you come in.
I have found size 14 Red Treble Hooks very difficult to find at sporting
Size 12 Red is occasionally available but also fairly scarce.
Most all other sizes and shapes of Red are easy to find and
I can usually find size 14 in Gold.
I use both size 12 and 14 Treble Hooks primarily when I still fish.
Usually for most species of Trout and at times for other types of fish.
Gold works well but Red does not give off as much shine.
So on bright days in clear water.
Trout are easily spooked and are very smart fish so the small size 14 treble
is easily hidden in dough baits like Berkley Power Bait.
It also works well in worms or shrimp but I like dough bait
because it floats above the grassy or silt covered bottom.
Thus the Red 14 is dark and small so it can be a very stelthy hook under
bottom conditions and in both full or partial daylight.
You know how fishermen are. You need every advantage you can get.
