In the mid-90s a close group of walleye pros were generating tremendous results with a new technique called slow death. Incredible action was being added to live-bait presentations by bending hooks in a certain fashion. I knew it was something special, but because I couldn't master the precise hook bend, I was getting really inconsistent results. Working with the Mustad product development team, Keith and I spend countless hours testing hook bends until we perfected a hook design that anybody could rig effectively.

I use Mustad hooks for the quality. Slow death style for the action when
they sink on when jigging.

The hooks are going to be used to make precut fluorocarbon bait holders of
various length (2 ft, 3, 4 and 5 feet) used with a spoon when trolling for
Trout.

Live near Fort Peck Lake in northeastern Montana. Home of great walleye
fishing. We use bottom bouncers and tie crawler harness rigs with the
hooks. Sometimes attach small blades or other attractors. Slow troll them
with either crawlers, leaches or minnows depending on mood of the fish. The
slow roll of the death hook has become quite popular in the last couple of
years. No offense but I also use tru turn hooks with equal success.
