I use this lure to catch native species here in Australia. The first being Goldern
perch or what we called yellow belly and secondly the Murray Cod which is a bit of
an icon down under in Aussie land. Although these lures are relatively small they
are very effective on fish up to 10 to 15 kilos in weight. The large Murray Cod
prefer a lure that is about 4 to 5 inches in length but are not shy in grabbing the
smaller lure as well. The suspending lure works well when I use my Minn Kota i pilot
on spot lock which gives you the ability to make multiple cast to submerged
structure in tight locations, our native fish tend to strike a lure that has been
presented a number of times over the same area and being able to suspend the lure at
the correct depth and give the rod tip quick jerks produces consistent results.
