I'm going to use
these large and wide worm hooks for drop shot fishing on heavy tackle. The
inshore climate in northern parts of Norway where they hopefully will serve
me well are quit harsh and some fish species swimming there can be some
kind of monsters. Especially the halibut. The reason why I choose the Owner
brand for this task are the X strong hook wire. I generally like Gamakatsu
hooks but this time Owner's wide gape plus hook where the better choice.

These hooks I´m going to use on jigs mostly for pike.I´m going to rig them with
the hook not visible but just coming through the back of the jig and fish tham where
it is a lot of vegetation.Less risk to get stuck with grass on the lure and be able
to fish in places you can´t with a normal lure.When the pike strikes the hook point
becomes visible.I think this will be perfect specially in the spring.
