Mustad 39943NP-BN Demon 4X Perfect Offset Circle Hooks - Size 6/0

Here in Hawaii we shorecast a lot. I have been a big fan of the Mustda tuna circles.
I figured i give the demon perfects a try. They have a really nice shape and are
much more consistant than the tuna circles.

I have never used circle hooks before but they are suppose to be great for catch and
release by only hooking in the mouth or jaw. They are to wide for most fish to
swallow. The bigger ones are going to be used for catfish. Plus, these hooks don't
need you to "set" the hook. Just start reeling in the line and the fish is hooked.
The smaller ones are for me to catch bluegill/perch for use as bait for the
catfish.

I purchased these mustad circle hooks for a skipper in Baja BSC so I don't know for sure how these will
be used but typically they are used with live bait or chunk bait.

Here in Alberta I am hundreds of mile from any
ocean, yet I have developed a real passion for offshore fishing. I usually get to go
fish Cabo San Lucas a couple times a year while on vacation. When there , I bring my
own gear, and generally fish the cheaper Pangas. Great captains, they just usually
don't have much for gear. We use these circle hooks with live bait for Roosterfish,
as well as various others. At the end of my trip, I generally give whats left of my
hooks, fluorocarbon, and misc. other stuff to the captains as part of their tip. To
them, it's like winning the lotto, as it's suprising how little availability there
is of good tackle in Cabo, and whats there is generally very expensive. When I
return home, the fun of getting on Ebay to restock on hooks and lures begins once
again... Look forward to doing more buisness in the future
