I am quite certain I will be pleased with how the hooks perform when I am fishing
for halibut.
I live in Norway and fish for halibut and other big game fish in Lofoten during summer.

I own a fishing mag here in Australia, but actually chasing giant bluefin
around Prince Edward Island. First used these hooks there with great
success. Also keen to try them on mako sharks locally.

we use this size and the 39942bln 10/0 3x demom circle for fishing for sharks from
the shore. They work great and hook up in the corner of the jaw 95% of the time.
They are sometimes hard to remove so we either crush the barb and try to back it out
or use bolt cutters to cut the hook and remove it that way. The shape is much better
then the standard mustad long line type circle hooks, but the black nickel finish
does not hold up as well as the duratin or Z finish does. The tips only last about
48hrs before they come off, that is partly due to the chemical sharpening techniques
that result in such a fine tip, and partly from the reaction of the black nickle
and the saltwater. If these hooks were offered in the Z finish they would be
perfect.

Well there is nothing remotly big enough to use these hooks for in sweden.
But winter and spring time i go over to florida to do some shark fishing.
These will be used for my castable leaders.

thanks. Actually we used it in depth water for catching snowy grouper
(giant grouper), a species that inhabits water depth ranging from
300ft-1000ft. using circle hook increase the catch and this hook nearly
100% never lost fish and all a fish hooked in the corner of the mouth. this
hook also suitable for sport fishing (catch and release)

This mustad 4x demon circle hooks will be used for fishing in norway.. on deaphts about 250 meters..
