I use the sufix 832 ice braid for ice fishing for Lake
Trout in Colorado. Braided line is a much thinner diameter than mono line,
therefore making it less noticeable to fish, yet maintaining the same break
strength. The other reason I use braided line is because Lakers are
usually found in deep water, and with all of that line out, you can't get a
good hook set with mono, because it stretches so much. However, braided
line has very little stretch, therefore allowing more solid hook sets.
