Changing colors every 10 feet, simply count the color changes to your desired length or depth. Repeating color pattern from yellow to green to red offers tremendous advantages. Yellow provides a high visibility length for tracking trolling spreads. Green offers a low visibility tie off point for shallow water applications. Disappearing red is the tie off point for low visibility in open water fisheries. When running multiple rods, you never have to remove more than 30-feet of line to identically match multiple rods, limiting wasted line and maximizing your investment in TUF-Line XP Indicator's premium performance.
I have 2 primary uses for this The Tuf-XP indicator
1. Deep water Jigging for suspended fish.
Ex. Water Depth 68' , fish upended at 42'. let out tad more than
4 colors, and your at 42' hooking up.
or in my case lakers holding between 80'-90' in 120' or water, i
can put that Swedish pimple on top of them.
2. trolling, (the poor mans line counter reel).
Ex. Need to get my reef runner down 12' so I let out 80' or 8
colors.
** As an added Note i have tried other indicator lines, but This the
absolute best.
Tuf-XP is the only one i found the changes every 10' foot.
Most change every 25' or 10 yards/meters or some other large increment.
with the 10' change i can get my bait with in 1' or in front of the fish

I like the 10' incremental color changes on XP Indicator because it helps me to swim
baits at a very consistent depth and to run crankbaits and weights an easily known
distance out from the rod tip. This cannot be done as accurately or as quickly with
line that is colored in 30' increments. Also, the 20# is very close to the diameter
of 10# Fireline and the 50# is very close to the diameter of 14# Trilene XT. That
allows me to use the Precision Trolling Data easily and without any time consuming
conversions. And the 8# XP? Well, that stuff is just plain fun!
