These ball bearing swivels are actually great for bird handling. Certain
hawks/owls need different sizes but using one of these is perfect when it
comes to connecting the leash to the jesses that are hooked through each of
the owls ankles for handling for educational shows. This swivel allows the
owl/bird to jump off the arm and be able to swing around and perch again
without harm from the leash or getting caught up.

I use the swivels for falconry. They are attached to the leashes on the birds legs
so they don't get tangled.

Well, you may be interested to know that this swivel won't ever see water. I'm a
falconer, and I use these swivels as part of my falconry gear. I hope you don't find
that as too much of a disappointment!

Well I'm not a fishing person, but your swivels are being used with a 1911
rope making machine to help make the rope. They are used to take the counter
tension from the rope as I twist it up. They work perfectly. This bigger
size allow me to put a bigger weight on the machine and get a harder rope.
