Year after year, the Super Shad Rap delivers, with trophy fish taken worldwide from the glacial lakes of Canada to the murky waters of the Amazon. The patterns and colors offer perfect imitation of favorite prey of fish. Whether talkin to musky maniacs or big water trollers, they all have one thing in common: the great fish-catching power of the Super Shad Rap.

This big lure we use it for trolling big fish. We found out that this lure still
running steady even at high speed. Target species big barramundi and blackbass.

Thank you for taking an interest in my fishing. I use Rapala Super Shad Rap in trolling-fishing. I have them about 20 different colors. This lure is originally made and designed in Finland. Sadly we don't have these colors anymore in shops so I am buying some of them from USA. This color imitates local vendace fish's color (black / silver) that lives in middle Finland's wilderness lakes. The profile model of the Super Shad Rap is carved using Roach fish as model. This is also a common fish in Finland. The water in wilderness lakes is extremely clear so the lures need to be natural look as possible. The target fish is Northern Pike, specially big ones out in the open water. In Finland they grew up about to 37lbs in weight, so alot smaller than your local Muskies that I would love to try to catch some day.

I troll around 7 rods that have mixture of 5" - 10" lures in different colors. The Super shad rap seems to be working very well for the pike. I have Bagley's and Cisco Kids too but I haven't tried them out yet. Water in Finland's biggest lake is around 230ft deep and is filled with Perch, Vendace, Walleye, Trout, Lake Salmon and Pike. In summer time my biggest problem is to get the lures down deep enough.

The Rapala SSR14 is one of my favourite lures, when I'm fishing from my
boat...It's one of those lures that always catches fish for me, and I would
never leave home without them...Having said that, I recently lost a Pearl
Shad SSR14, so I could do with a few spare ones....

We use these lures, fishing for trolling at depths ranging between 20 meters
and 60 meters. We fished in the waters between Spain and Africa, his name is
the Gibraltar Strait. if you really want in a map which is the gateway to
the Mediterranean sea. In this place the sea come all kinds of fish such as
whales, giant tuna, orcas, belugas, etc ... almost every day of the year in
windy conditions at sea, which means that fish are more protected and grow
better. In conclusiĆ³n is a very good area for anglers.
A greeting from Spain

This was actually the first (and only) time we were able to get out on the
lakes, after a period (of almost two months) with lots of ice and snow....It
turned out to be a really good day too, catching 13 pikes in just four
hours....
5 of those were caught on a Rapala SSR...

They really are good baits, and I can only encourage you to use them
yourself!

My son and I go to Canada over Labor Day every year and fish for large pike. We have
had excellent luck with Rapala super shads however the water is treacherous with rocks and
logs so we lose lures every year. These lures will be shared with us as Christmas
gifts. We mostly troll them, however we do do some casting.
