2015 Black Betty CNC 6061 Ice Reel Left Hand *please note LH model is for anglers that turn the reel with their LEFT HAND! Due to the addition of the integrated fender design this reel is not convertible to opposite retrieve.

No expense has been spared in building the ultimate inline ice reel. Top ice anglers demanded an inline reel with all the bells and whistles for serious hard-water fishing. We delivered a CNC machined 6061 aluminum reel as tough as the guys that fish them…then we added a smooth carbon drag system, anti-reverse, and bait alarm. Just engage the super free-spool to drop even the lightest baits deep, and use the 2.7-1 gear ratio to retrieve line at a amazing 19" per crank. The new 2015 model is upgraded with a internal gear cover, New 6061 Aluminum Handle w/EVA Knobs, and a incredible new frame design to allow anglers to fish a "pistol" or "pencil" grip style without rubbing the rim of the spool.

We already have safe ice on most large lakes and rivers in my part of Russia, and as
soon as I get the reel I'm going to use it! Two predators I fish for are europen
pike (smaller than USA musky) but can still get up to 10kg, usually over 3kg is
already seen as big. And then comes zander, this is a brother of USA's walleye, I
hooked examples around 9kg and seen ones over 15kg.

I have found that the reels are well built other then the drag systems. I own 2 and the drags are the worst I have ever seen on any reel at any price. I do not feel comfortable using them with lite line. ( 6 or less ) I usually fish 2-4 on the ice or even open water. The drags are extremely sticky. Love the features but will never buy another 13 Fishing reel if the drags are anything like this.

the reel I purchased will be used ice fishing mostly for jigging with
lures rather than be used for bait since I haven't used live bait in more than
twenty years. I have found I catch just as many fish that way and don't have
to worry about keeping bait alive.
