One of our most popular treble hooks that have the bleeding red finish that fish love to gobble up. These feature a 2x short shank and the holding power of the triple grip design to make great replacement hooks on your crankbaits

I use these hooks pretty much exclusively to replace the front hook on #5 Shad Raps.

I use these hooks as replacements on my crank baits ,they are the closest
I can find to the Mustad KVD trebles which are expensive ! and are only
avail. in lots of 11 . I have purchased the 36246R in size 2 from you in
the past and will be looking for the #4s in the future wish they were
available in the black like the KVDs . Have not made up my mind on
weather the red is a good thing or bad will find out in 18 days (
Wisconsin opening day is May 5th ) do not care for the
bronze

I use this particular hook to replace the factory
hooks on a Norman Deep Tiny N crank bait which is too small
For my needs. This is a very small bait that I use a lot with great success. I catch
some huge fish on this lure.

personal use

i use the treble hooks on my hard baits the few times i have caught fish
on them it seems to keep them locked up so they dont get off

My son and I are competitive Bass Fishers. We will replace the original
treble hooks with triple grips. Don't loose any fish that way. Lost fish
is lost money and we like to get paid.

I make up my own northern pike rigs. I use 30# bleeding steel leaders connect the trebles to that with a barrel and connect them to my tip ups. Best damn northern catcher I have ever used. I will send some pics of my new ones I am making

These hooks are the best that i have found and i replace most crankbait hooks with
them. I am a firm believer that the red hook placed on the front o-ring of a
crankbait can make the difference in a bass engulfing the bait or just swiping at
it.

I fish bass tourney's around 40 a year, I make my own jigs,
shakey heads, spinnerbaits and buzzbaits. I have so many crankbaits it is
nuts! Most of them I have found when they drop the lakes here for winter.
Most of them need the hooks replaced. To be honest I HATE crankbaits but you
have to fish them certain times of the year if you want to money. I couldn't
find the colors in the baits I liked so I started painting my own and I
replace the hooks on them and I will only replace them with the mustad
triple grip hooks to me they are the best hooks out there. I will be
ordering again I am sure. I think I have 60 crankbaits painted now waiting
for hooks. Thanks and have a good holidays.

Looking forward to starting some of the off season work. I use
these hooks to tie worm harnesses for walleye on lake Erie. I use the treble hook
for the rear hook. They really help with the short bites and less 'shake outs' at
the boat.

I am betting I have a pretty exclusive use for these hooks compared to
your other customers. I purchase Norman crank baits and specifically the Deep Tiny N
model bait. It comes with two #10 treble hooks attached. I found over the years of
use that I hooked a lot of fish that threw the hook. I experimented by changing to
larger trebles and #6 seemed to be the optimum size. However, a pair of #6 trebles
with regular length shank allowed the hooks to tangle up easily and cause me to stop
and untangle them just to make a cast. At other times they would tangle in the air
during the cast and then the retrieve was compromised. By using short shank trebles
like the Mustad 36246, the hooks do not become tangled as easy or often. The Norman
Deep Tiny N is listed as a Crappie Crank Bait in the Bass Pro catalog but I use them
for all forms of fishing. I don't know if it is the size or the action that does it
but I have caught some TREMENDOUS
sized fish on this little 1 1/2" long bait intended for Crappie. Included in that
mix are several largemouth bass in the 6 to 7 # class, a 48" Musky that weighed 28#
and a 18.9# hybrid striped bass. I have nailed a ton of smallmouth bass too.
