Over the past few years, I have turned my focus into becoming a top water fisherman
- I typically am on the water before the sun is up and off the water before the heat
becomes unbearable. I have to agree with the pros on television - there is nothing
better than having a fish blow-up on a top water bait! Personally, I have the best
luck in the wee hours of the day and just before sundown course at that hour in the
summer, you are also dealing with mosquitos.so I prefer to wet a line early and
have the rest of the day doing whatever.
Top water fishing does take a toll on the arm and shoulder though - it's a different
technique with how the fishing rod is held and how the lure is retrieved - can
become exhausting at times.
