Mustad 32755-BR Jig hooks. Fits Do-It molds calling for a light wire jig hook. A great economical choice that sets the standard for freshwater jigs!

I actually don't use these hooks for making jigs.I use them to make
balanced flies. The original ones I believe were made with standard hooks however I
found it quite difficult to put a line through the eye of the hook. The upturned eye
of the Aberdeen style hooks eliminate this problem.
I use these flies for trout with a dry line under an indicator and mainly with leech
patterns. This winter I am going to try adding more flash and maybe some lead wire
for weight and try using them through the ice for panfish (ie.yellow perch they
should work for them too.
I got the idea from an article by Phil Rowley at
www.flycraftangling.com a few years back.

I try my hand at tying flies, and I use a lot of different hooks. In this case, I
have no jig style hooks which are becoming somewhat more popular in the tying
community. I admit that I'll never use this many, but I'd rather have too many so
that I can freely share, and this seems like a good deal.

i make 1/80 oz jigs, paint them, then tie a fly pattern we call the
Bimbo skunk on them. i usually try to get ready made jigs to save me
time. i use about 5 to 6 thousand a year but i am expanding and will
probably go thru 10 thousand jig hooks next year. the are the best bait for
panfish and we get trout and bass also.
