I use these small Gamakatsu circle hooks on a style of fly called an "Intruder". It
allows you to fish a large fly with small hook. With the small hook, the fly swims
better and it causes less harm to the fish once hooked. Another reason I use small
circle hooks is that it lessens the chance of foul hooking a fish tremendously. I
have realized with circle hooks for fly fishing one does not set the hook on fish,
once the fish turns, the hook digs into the mouth on its own and really stays put.
