The size 12 Owner treble hooks will be used as stinger hooks on jigs for Detroit
River walleye. I'm not real big on using stingers as they tend to snag more often
and collect weeds and debris. BUT, particularly early in the season when the
water is very cold there are days when almost every fish comes on the stinger.
We've been using another cheaper brand of treble hook for stingers and they
work but I decided to upgrade to Owner and give them a shot. Always looking
for an edge!

I use the stinger treble hooks size 12 to replace those that have lost one
of the hooks off a treble.
Had to replace 4 on small rapala and other lures this week (catching small
salmon but sometimes larger salmon decide to take them and
Sometimes my friends out in the boat yank the lures too hard with a fish on
the end.)
