Friday, my anchor rope broke at the chain on my windlass and is on the bottom of the river. I plan on trolling these 2 trebles this Friday to hopefully snag the chain and get my stuff back. Wish me luck!

I just thought I would respond and let you know ow I intend to use it. When the sea is rough and a large dropnet cannot be used, a drop-gaff is preferable. Even better is a floating gaff when rock fishing. I will rig a large float (boat fender) above the treble hook, throw the floating gaff beyond any fish and pull the gaff into it, to ensure I can land the fish in rough conditions. It's a very effective method when cliff or rock fishing.

I would be glad to tell you what is to become of the huge hooks, I
will heat them and bend the points downward to make a collossal frog gig! Just
kidding! I own a bait and tackle shop in Grand Rivers,KY (BullFrog Bait Shop) I will
display the huge treble hooks as conversation/decoration pieces. my shop is full of
other hard to find items along with some rare antique pieces, I spend lots of time
in the shop all summer (open all year) everyone knows that fishermen tell tall tales
and i am sure I will come up with a good story for the huge treble hooks,".The
catfish here can swallow this WHOLE HOOK with a mature chicken for bait" fun fun

This is going to be used as a gag at our annual trout fishing trip to lake Tannycomo
in Branson, Mo in January. These fish average about 1-2 lbs, and we have a buddy
that he thinks he needs bigger tackle over ultralight stuff to catch fish. He also
breaks or looses, rods/reels/gear and everything else you can think of. There are 22
of us guys that have been fishing together on this trip for 25 years. I will be
tying everything you can imagine to this big hook, and we will tell him we found all
his tackle in the bottom of the lake, from previous years that he has lost in this
lake.

I will be using the 20/0 treble hook as a gaff. I mount it onto a piece of 10 foot
conduit and use it for catching paddlefish on the Missouri River

we will use the big 20/0 treble hook from mustad for fishing at a big
tall bridge so i figured that the bigger the hook is the eAsy it would be
to take out...

First let me say that the big 20/0 mustad treble hook is well received at my home here in Norway. So thank
you for good service!

Regarding your question about the use of the hook. I have just finished a fishing
competition with bad result. So the plan for next year is to use this big hook, even
if I don't catch the biggest fish, at least I got the biggest hook:)

If you look at the link I have attached, you will see what I am aiming for (use
google translate if you dont understand norwegian):

And finally, I got the same time pressure as everybody else these days:)
Nice doing business with you!

These very big hooks are attached to a rope. They are used to gaff big fish
and sharks when pier fishing. This allows pulling the big fish up to Pier after
you reel it in with fishing pole and reel. Sometimes it takes several guys to help
hoist. A Big fish up to the pier deck

I appreciate such a quick response and shipment. I bought these hooks to use as throw gaffs for landing large fish and skates from piers. It's gonna make life much easier. Again, Thanks so much!

I live in the Caribbean, on the island of Roatan. I am a developer there, and work building houses and developing lots. My project, www.laselvaroatan.org is just getting off the ground.
I grew up in a salmon fishing family, in Oregon, and at a young age was forced to fish, so for many years, fishing has been considered work to me.
Only this past year, while living and working on the island, have I become interested in catching fish. I have a 35 panga, and would like to develop some successful fishing techniques that would allow me the best chance to catch a wide variety of fish.
I have done enough research to learn the island has high numbers of wahoo, but they are hard to hook and land, but fairly easy to get to bite. Wahoo this past month have cleaned off whole tuna from large single hooks, as there inner mouth is lined with a hard bone crushing wall that is very difficult to penetrate with a hook.
I also catch many tuna, and barracuda, and amber or horse jacks, and last week hooked and released a 12 foot hammer head. I want to get started finding a way to use whole or large cut bait and fish some off shore high spots, where large numbers of wahoo and other types are plentiful and seemingly not fished.
One other fish I am interested in is sword fish, which it seems we have very large numbers of, but little to no fishing is being done here for them...
So your hooks will be used to bait up large whole tuna, and or pieces of fish, and weightless, will be lowered down just off the reef, in about 200 - 300 feet of water, to try and actually catch the mighty wahoo. Last week, on a single large hook, with a bait hook, and two 10/0 hooks as trailers, I managed to get picked clean, by large wahoo that can take the whole bait into there mouth, then just close down on it with there rock hard mouth and strip the tuna right off the line, without one of the 5 hooks making penetration into there tough mouth...
So it seems I have grown an interest in fishing again, and I like doing the research about the fish, and the hopefully successful way to catch them.
