I use these to make my king mackeret rigs. These are for the side and tail hooks
used with a single live bait hook in the front of these. They are all tied together
with 105 lb. steel leader wire with a 6 foot 105 lb. steel leader in front.

im going to use them as replacement hook for a bomber long A. I
do a lot of night time striper fishing and I'm looking for a sharper hook I
just hope they dont rust if they dont I'll buy more.

I am a tournament king mackerel and wahoo fisherman located on the N Gulf.
The 4X strong #1 black treble hooks are used as a stinger hook when using
large live baits - most tournament do not require IGFA rigging. This is the
most popular hook here for the stinger, all of local and catalog sources are
out of this hook (Mustad and Eagle Claw versions) and have no estimate of
restocking. The bronze version of this hook is OK but it rusts quickly when
exposed to our salt air - the black does not rust and matches the backs of
the bait we use. I could use 200 more in black 4X strong #1 if you have them
in stock.

We utilize these 4X Treble hooks on the Navarre Fishing Pier in Florida by attaching them to a
18" 40# seven strand leader and a swivel. we then add a dead or live cigar minnow
and cast out occasionally working the baits to catch King Mackerel.

I design and make fishing lures. During the 70's and 80's I got involved in deep sea fishing for
Marlins and huge Yellow fin tuna. Many of the big game lures that was sold at that time were very limited
and didn't have much selection in colors and designes. I decided to try and make my own lures.
After a while, I mastered the art of making lures using plastic polyester resins. I stoped making lures
and got involved in other hobbies. I have just started going back to fishing and my interest in designing and
making lures started comming back. The fishing that I do is a lot different now. I fish mostly from shore in what
we in Hawaii call whipping. If you Google on the Internet, whipping for Ulua or whipping for GT, you will get an
idea on what I fish for. I still make my lures using polyester resins but are a lot different in design from my big
game lures that I made. I hope to get back to selling my lures again.
