Mustad 3551-DT Duratin Treble Hooks - Size 2

I use them as replacement hooks on various lures. My favorite hook is the Mustad
3565A which is a 2x strong, regular shanked tinned treble hook. I don't think they
are made anymore. I can't find them anywhere. I fish mostly in the upper
Chesapeake bay for Striped bass and largemouth bass. The salt content is low
enough in the upper bay to support freshwater species like largemouth bass, but it
still has enough corrosive factors to expedite rust on metal. Most of Mustad's
tinned hooks I find today are 3X . I believe that a thinner diameter wire in a
hook makes for easier penetration. A 2x shanked hook makes for easier penetration
than a 3X shanked hook, I believe. A 1X is better, but in dealing with Stripers, I
like the extra strength of a 2X. I think the hooks I purchased from you are 1X,
but I'll take what I can get. The duratin finish is rust resistant and the thinner
wire diameter makes for easier penetration than a 3X diameter wire hook.
