Micro Hyper Swivels can be used for any application to eliminate line twist. They come in a full size range from a tiny #14 (about 1/4" length) to a #1 rated at 410lbs. These are made from stainless steel to obtain the premium strength at the smallest size. These swivels rate higher in strength by size than virtually anything else on the market.

I am learning how to troll and am putting a lot more pressure on my equipment. I'm finding out Walmart terminal tackle just cannot take the punishment of serious trolling along the bottom. I don't have decent tackle shops within an hour drive so I am resorting to online buying. There aren't any local groups that troll & so I am a "lone" fisherman and learning by research and experience.
That said, the hardest part of picking out tackle for me has been:
-- Size (what the heck is a #10 barrel swivel? - is it 1/4" long or an inch) -- I've hunted and found some size charts that have helped, but it took a lot of work. Before that I bought several items that I just tossed because they were way too bulky or otherwise didn't work for me.
-- Pound test rating -- in conjuction with physical size. Most sites show one or the other, not everyone shows both.
-- Trolling weights -- torpedo or inline weights with an eye at both ends in weights like 6 - 10 oz are rare. I found a guy in Florida that sells them.
-- Shipping -- As I am learning, I don't want to purchase a huge quantity of any particular item yet. So a pack of hooks costs more in shipping than the cost of the hooks. I'd be perfectly happy with a first class envelope for a package of hooks, but it's not normally an option. It may just not fit a business model for a big seller, but it would sure fill a niche.
Oh, and this order for hooks is to replace treble hooks on crankbaits to reduce hangups when trolling the bottom - another experiment.
