It's said that retired persons have less time than before. Sometimes it may be true.
It depends on whitch subject you give the priority. Fishing is
very important, isn't it !? So I (68) reserve a short time to give you some
impressions about my environment.
First, some thoughts to the lures I bought. The best lures ever, especially
for pikes, for me are the rapalas SSR 9. It seems to be necessary to guide
them quickly eventought I get a pike just starting as well. But also per-
ches like it too. So I cought big perches whith it but also perches which were not
much bigger than the lure itself!
Unfortunately this size (9 cm) is nearly no more available in whole Eu-
rope. So I bought a lot of them in different colours on the US-market, just enough
for the rest of my life. And amazing: most of them are even cheeper in the USA,
shipping included, than they were sold here! But it's not excluded that it could
change soon...
The bigger size ( 14 cm) is available here but only in two or three varia-
tions of colours and was quite less successful. The same colour on the SSR 9 on the
other hand was a good one. I check it out and and let me sur- prise...
I live in the center of Switzerland ( often confused with Sweden) a very small
county. Our region has alpine caractere. It's the canton Uri. (A
Swiss canton is comparable with an US-State but really much smaller. Uri
has about 1000 km2, 35000 inhabitants, rate of unemployment: 1%. )But it is a
paradise for fishermen: A lot of mountainrivers with clean water with trouts, more
then 20 mountainlakes (Internet:Photo Gallery Bergseen Uri) with different trouts
and also the canadien namycushes.
I live in the neighbourhood of the Lake of Lucern with pikes, perches,
trouts and a lot of other fishes even eels coming from the caribian Sara-
gossasea.
Only five minutes from my home we have a little picturesc lake where we have pikes,
perches and tenches and little other fishes. That's "my" lake.
After having had one of the coldest february of the last 150 years we have
now one of the warmest and sunniest march since years. Eventhougt about 1/4 of the
suface is still covered with ice I saw this morning the first
pike about 70cm. All fishes pass the wintertime on the bottom of the lake.
From january 1. until may 15. fishing is not allowed. So I said to him "Oh,
my dear, we see us later, I think so..." (Internet: Seelisbergsee-Wikipedia
see: Commons Seelisbergsee). It's nice to see the nature waking up. In the
moment hundred of frogs are sprawning - and still no tourists! Beautiful!

The 2 Super Shads will be used for Musky and Pike fishing in 2012, both casting and
trolling.
