The hooks and rings will be used to replace aging and rusty hooks and ties on my lures. Red will be used on the front hook to simulate a blood trail and black on the trailing hook. I do it so as not to encourage tail bites. I find more success when the fish are focused on the front hook and the trailing hook is added insurance for near miss bites.
In one week my son and I are headed out for a week long road trip. We%u2019ll be hitting Clear Lake, Lake Berryessa, and Pine Flats Lake, all in California. Hopefully the fish will be biting, reports

These hooks are the same brand
That Thomas lures speedy shiner 1/6 oz uses so I replace some of the bronze hooks with Red ones
