Realis Jerkbait 100 DR can reach depths of 3 meters(10ft) with 14lb test and much deeper with lighter line. At approximately 15.4 grams (1/2 oz), JB100 DR was designed to reach its depth and be retrieved with less labor and line tension.
The wall thickness and internal cross member framing in the DR was increased to withstand additional abuse by deep-water species such as pike or barramundi.
The ballast system houses oversized bearings and a magnetize carriage to "seat" all 3 bearings during retrieve. Once released, the ballast is channeled to the rear of the lure to ensure long casts. The acustics resonate two different pitch frequencies giving the most advanced jerkbait a unique sound.
A little about my order and why. I love the duo jerkbait lineup. There aren't that many jerkbaits on the market that get into that 8 ft zone but the duo realis 100dr is a fine one for that. I use these for ice out smallmouth in Wisconsin when they are on the rock break lines to deeper water where they are coming from wintering holes but it isn't warm enough to move up onto rock spawning flats yet. I love the natural prism fill color but the phoenix color is a hard one to find and is an obnoxious color that gets great reaction strikes from smallmouth prespawn but when the water is warming up. On the flip side, the duo realis rozante 77sp is a wonderful perch/bait fish imitator for finesse jerkbaiting. I love that these dive less than 3ft so I cast them overtop of cabbage weeds during post spawn and into summer. That's my info on why I purchased these lures.
