A real-shaped new standard minnow
This is an almighty suspending minnow for any style of angler. Anglers can steadily retrieve it, twitch and jerk or consecutively twitch using various rod work. We have employed a fixed weight for sharp and quick darting action. By carefully setting the weight in rear end of the lure, its casting distance and accuracy is comparable to those moving weight systems.
The realistic form of the lure imitates pond smelt which are the main baitfish for bass, producing bites in high pressure fields.
Its obviously good in the standard Spring/Fall seasons but it shows its true colours in the low seasons as well!
Yes, I actually use these lures. I have several dozen of these expensive little suckers purchased from as far away as Singapore. Big trout go nuts for them where we fish in the Catskill region of the Delaware River. This is a new color for me to add to my collection. We've been buying them for several years now, but lately they are hard to find in the best colors like gold/ black.
The Duo Realis 80 SP is an awesome lure for big trout . It also works on other freshwater species. It is a shallow diver, great for small streams, but also effective in large rivers. And the suspending lure (SP) fishes great when "twitched". We were disappointed that it is not as popular as it was years ago, when it was available in multiple colors. Our favorites were HS Black/ Gold, and Prism Ayu D-20. But all colors work well. Bass Boat guys aren't impressed, but stream fishermen know it works.
