The BUCK-SHOT® RATTLE SPOON is the planet’s hottest minnow imitating jigging spoon! It is molded from metal, & features a noisy brass Buck-Shot® Rattle and highly reflective “holographic” Baitfish-Image™ body that lures fish from a wide radius! It thumps, ticks, clicks and clatters and “rings-the-dinner-bell” for Perch, Walleye, Bass, Trout and Pike.

“The BUCK-SHOT® RATTLE SPOON is the noisiest and most lifelike minnow imitating jigging spoon on the market today. It’s molded from metal and features a deadly “Buck-Shot® Rattle Shell” that creates a nerve jarring vibration to call fish in . . . and trigger ‘em to strike. I have found them to be deadly for vertical jigging around weeds, rocks, brush and standing timber. for Walleye, Perch, Bass, Trout & Northern Pike!” It lures ‘em in & rattles ‘em up!”

I have lived in North Carolina for 10 years now but I was born and raised on Long Island, NY. I am very lucky that I live very close to Shearon Harris Lake, Jordan Lake and Falls Lake. These lakes were fished by Major League Fishing last March and they were coming back this year in April but they had to cancel it due to Covid-19. Almost everybody down here fishes for the Largemouth bass and do not realize the other opportunities that these Lakes have.

I took a week off from work last fall, during Thanksgiving, I was on Jordan Lake fishing some underwater humps that top off at 16 feet but there is 30 feet around them. There was no wind but it was raining lightly. I love to fish vertical jigging spoons on humps, points, ledges, drops offs and slopes. I took a 3 lb Striper on a half ounce spoon right away and noticed that the fish spit up a bunch of very small shad. I could see the large balls of bait on the Lowrance but I wasn%u2019t sure it they were baby shad, white perch, crappies, catfish, white bass or yellow perch? I reached into the tackle bag and I had a few of these little buck shot rattling spoons that I got from my dad after he passed away 3 years ago. He must have had them for years and I never saw him fish with them but they matched the size of the shad so I tied it on one of my light rods and dropped her down. It didn%u2019t take long to land a bunch of stripers, white perch, crappies, catfish, white bass and largemouth%u2019s. The stripers were in the 3 to 5 lb range, some of the white bass topped the 3 lb class, some of the crappies were in the 2 lb class, some of the white perch were in the 1.5 lb class and the catfish were all different sizes. Jordan has blue cats, channel cats, bullheads and flat head cats.

This rattling buck shot took a beaten and I had to change the little hooks after a few fish but they kept on hitting it. I set my drag very light on my spinning reel and had no problem bringing fish into the boat.

So after fishing for 6 days that week, I couldn%u2019t fish on Thanksgiving because my wife and family needed help with Thanksgiving dinner, my boat was very wet and smelled like bad fish because I hammered them all week. I release everything I catch, even the large crappies.

So I started fishing these spoons a lot more during the winter months and lost them all. It doesn%u2019t get cold enough in NC for the Lakes to freeze so I can fish out of my boat all year round. I have ice fished before back on Long Island but I traveled to Lake Champlain and other smaller lakes in the Adirondack mountains just to ice fish.

These jigs work best when you fish them vertically but I have had success with dragging and swimming them slowly also. It is very rare to have no wind in the open water on these large lakes. I love the rattle in these spoons, these lakes are always muddy and stained so the rattle works well. I do not tip them off with any live or dead bait. I guess that I would catch more fish if I did.

Take care and thanks for having the spoons in stock and delivering so fast. I will let my friends know about your site.
