I use them for Rainbow Trout. The silver and firetiger colors are deadly on
them. I used to only use the original J-9 Rapala in assorted colors but when
Rapala came out with these with the rattle inside. They exceeded my
expectations of success with them. Black and gold J-9's are a killer for
them so I'm sure the gold shiner will be just as effective. Another new lure
that has been effective is the jointed Scatter Rap in the same colors. I
live in Goderich Ontario Canada and fish the Mailand River that flows into
Lake Huron. I am a member of our local hatchery (Maitland Valley Anglers)
and we raise and release 50-70 thousand every year to help with Rainbow
population.
