This is my favorite lure to use jigging for Speckled Trout and Lake Trout in Northern Ontario where I live. I hook a minnow thru the head and cut the body off exposing half the entrails.
Then I use short little gigging action of a couple inches. Some times I will lower to the bottom and lift it off. Tried other jigging lures but this is the best
