Every couple of years since my son was 7 (he is now 16) my 2 brothers and I (his
mom) take him down to Port Hope (3 1/2 hours from Ottawa where we live) to fish for
salmon on the river during the salmon run. The first year we were so worried he
would be pulled in by the weight of the fish we tied him to the hitch on the truck.
: ) He cought a fish that when held up (with help of course) the fish's lips were
beside his and his tail was touching the ground. Very exciting catching that big of
a fish. To him the little sunfish he would catch off the dock were big. Last year
we went with the wrong type of hooks and we lost most fish we hooked as they were
not string enough to hold and actually straightened out. We went back the next day
with gamakatsu #4's and had a blast.

We are a group of competitors in spinning and all wobblers (crankbaits)
exchanged hooks and rings. Neither Rapala has good quality and is a great
problem by of Salmo and others. the great catfish in river and stream break
and bend hooks. The best are decoy and Gamakatsu EWG.
