All the life-like scale detail and selections from the incredible patterns of the original X-Rap. The massive diving-lip takes the X-Rap Magnum deep...unassisted. Nothing to hinder the action. These run perfect right out of the box, no wasted time tuning. They can be run up to 13 knots for big game fish worldwide.

I am headed to the lower Florida Keys for 10 days with my boys and brother (and the
girls are coming too). I love the large deep diving Rapalas for trolling the
outside of the reef on the Atlantic for wahoo and big mahi mahi. The winter bite
can be great for wahoo, and they respond much better to a fast subsurface troll than
on the surface. The mahi numbers tend to be much lower in the winter off the keys,
but we can usually come up with 6-10 a day. We always get our biggest mahi on the
x-rap 20s and 30s compared to skirt trolls, bait etc. When the weather is less
than optimal the deep diving plugs troll great in Hawks channel for grouper over the
reefs at 30-50 feet. Thanks for the quick response and shipping. Hopefully this
plug will make it before I leave next tues night for the keys. Pickup up 6" of snow
in the last 24 hours, so am ready for some sun and warm!!

I fish the waters around the island of Martha's Vineyard off of Cape Cod. I use
this lure trolling for Bluefish, Striped Bass, Bonito, and False Albacore, all of
which are very active in our waters in the fall.

Personally i use the yellow fin tuna Rapala X-Rap Magnums on the bluefin tuna, first of all i take off and change both
the treble hooks and the rings they are on.This is done because the ones the lures
come with are ok for fish upto 30odd kg (70lbs),however unfortunately they are not
the most reliable when it comes to fish over that sort of weight range.Having said
that last season i was feeling a little lazy so i put it on straight out of the
box,no hook or ring upgrades and landed 122.5kg bluefin. That fish was 6kg of the
record for portlands biggest ever blufin.I have sum photos of it on my facebook
profile, dont be alarmed but i used my friends ebay because i forgot my password and
didnt have time to wait to get the new one.Anyway to see the photos look for Bill
Petkovski on facebook.
With the lures generally we fish them from the back of the boatand set them at
various distances apart and use lures that dive to different depths and size so that
we give ourselves the most oppurtunity possible to get a strike depending on what
baitfish the tuna are feeding on.As a general guide we keep an average trolling
speed of about 6-8knots,we find that this speed with these lures gives us the best
strike rate.

I use the Rapala magnums for
trolling, I live in Far North Queensland, Australia and find they work great
trolling the reef edges for spanish mackarel mainly, but i have caught many more
species on them, cobia, dolphin fish, wahoo, tuna etc. I have also trolled over some
shallow bombies and hooked some Coral trout on them, at the end of the day they work
great, thanks again and I will purchase more of you in the future

I can tell you right now that we will be trolling the lures (full spread) for yellow
fin tuna off the Victorian coast. I have ordered 5 just for the different colors.
Last year we got them on the orange ones and some skirts, but I figure a color range
might work better on different days.
