Trolling fast and deep, casting inshore flats for tarpon or looking for your next 50-incher, there's an X-Rap just for you. All are rigged with durable componentry to withstand the inevitable smashes from all species of fish and the general rigors of the saltwater environment. Each is built to the exacting standards set years ago by Lauri himself.

I use the Rapala X Rap Saltwater lures at steep point western australia ( google it ), its a 10hr drive up
from perth where i live ,we camp up there for 10days at christmas every year

so i buy lures thru the year to stock up for the trip.

i spin off the cliffs for big macks using a daiwa saltist 4500 loaded with 20 lb
tuffline braid and a carbon fibre 6 "6 ft 8kg rod.

the fish in the photo was 14 kg and pretty avg for what we catch, we use a rope
cliff gaff to get the fish up the 10ft cliff at the point

we loose a lot of gear / fish to sharks along the cliff, if we are "lucky "we get
the head and lure back. we keep a suppy of rocks nearby to throw at the sharks when
they come in close to grab the exhausted hooked fish , it usually gets rid of them
long enough to get the fish out of the water.

And I want these wobblers for a fishing trip in Bijagos islands,
Guinea Bissau (West Africa), of sea spinning. This Rapala X-Rap 14 cm. uses to work
well there, for red and brown snapper specially, and I would like to try this new
color, that

I have not used before, to see how it goes...

I am a Spanish sport fishing travel agent and journalist, so, I organize fishing trips
with my travel agency to this and other international angling destinations, both of
salt and fresh water, also to Alaska, Amazon, Patagonia, etc. And I write too articles

for Spanish sport fishing magazines, as well as in France, Germany, etc. This will be

the use for this X-Raps that I have bought you...

I'm a pretty serious 'Land Based Game' fisherman here in Australia. I fish
typical big game tackle (Tiagra 50W) with big live baits like
Bonito/Yellowtail Scads/Mackerel off deep ocean rocks for Yellowtail
Kingfish (aka California Yellowtail in the US), Marlin, Tuna and sharks.

Rapala X-Raps (SXR/XR 12/14) are cast-able from the rocks on good land
based spin gear with 15lb-30lb line and work great on bonito, Australian
salmon, and small yellowtail kingfish as well as some other small tuna's,
which can then be live baited for marlin/sharks. They are easy to lose on
the rocks though due to snags so lures are lost quite often, also big
kingfish burying you in the rocks or simply big fish's jaws destroying the
lure accounts for a few lost lures. 22 should hopefully do me for the
summer.

They are cheaper to order from the US in bulk than to purchase in stores in
Australia.

check out http://www.sportfishextreme.com gallery and forums if you want to
know more about this form of fishing and what we catch with X-Raps, that's
where we all frequent online. It was actually one of the guys on that forum
that recommended your store to me so I'm sure you've dealt with some of
them previously.
