I am also new in this hobby and just started to learn how it works.
Many years ago I have used to fishing many time on lakes and rivers, now
I live in Israel and there best place for fishing is sea shore. The
fishing with lures are oriented to predatory fish. The lure imitate the
fish, sometimes ill or injured. You throw the lure to the place where
suppose to be target fish. Then you should bring it back. This process
being repeated many-many times. I know it looks strange when somebody
walk with spinning rod and casting, but when you catch the fish - it's
ensure good fight and fountain of adrenaline ;-) . Predatory fish strong
and sometime very big (most of them also tasty).
Lure - is very important part in this game, each fisherman has dozen (or
many more) of them, from different types and sizes. Sometime in the
same place and same day - only specific lure can be effective.
In USA - lot of places where you can try this, once you will catch fish
- you will be Infected by this disease.
Worth to try!! I believe that you can buy equipment by good prices, you
need one spinning rod with reel and few small accessories for beginning.
The lures you have unlimited ;-)
